unable to shrink veritas file system

Dear All,

I need to shrink a 677GB veritas file system to 150 GB. I have tried
vxshrink from console and also tried shrinking from VEA, it was unable to
shrink the file system and the message was to run fsadm first. I have
defragmented the file system using fsadm. Fsadm result before and after
fragmentation is given below. Even after running fsadm, vea was unable to
shrink the file system and went error out with the same error.

Directory Fragmentation Report before fsadm

Dirs Total Immed Immeds Dirs to Blocks to
Searched Blocks Dirs to Add Reduce Reduce
total 229 148037 90 16 54 115367

Directory Fragmentation Report after fsadm
Dirs Total Immed Immeds Dirs to Blocks to
Searched Blocks Dirs to Add Reduce Reduce
total 229 24629 90 15 35 536

Kindly help me out in resolving this issue

Regards,

Zubair Hassan
