SUMMARY: Question about mounting Solaris ISO Images

Thanks to all who responded. I got several answers that were very
similar and all very helpful. The end result is that it's not just as
simple as using lofiadm and mount. Separate images must be pulled
from the ISO for each slice, which can be done using dd and then those
images can be mounted with lofiadm and dd. See the following pages
for more information:

Thanks again for the help!

Hi all,_______________________________________________
I am familiar with being able to mount ISO images using lofiadm and
mount, but this question specifically relates to ISO images of the
Solaris install DVD. Solaris install media contains 6 slices. The
first slice is a hsfs filesystem and the remaining 5 are ufs. When I
use the lofiadm/mount solution, I can see the hsfs slice just fine.
What I'd like to know is if there is a way to mount slice 1 (the first
ufs partition) from an ISO file without first burning the image to DVD
and putting it in a DVD drive on a solaris box. I do know that when
you put a Solaris install DVD into a windows machine, you are only
able to see the hsfs partition (slice 0). Any help is greatly
appreciated. Thanks.
