Try to Change Platform name on client Sun

Hi to Everybody

In the past I was subscribed on sunmanagers community.

I have a problem on SUN client :
uname -a
SunOS maina2 5.9 Generic_118558-11 sun4u sparc SUNW,Ultra-250

This is not included in our allowed clients list :
Sun Ultra(TM) 45
*Sun Blade(TM) 150
*Sun Blade(TM) 1500

In fact we don't succeded to show Help on line on GUI of UMTS OMC
(ex-Nortel) because there is a check about Sun Platform name.
I'm sure on field Sun Blade(TM) 150 is working so I could need to
modify the Platform Kernel name in order to fix this Help on line
problem.

On field where is working, For a SunBlade 150, the situation is the
following :
% uname -a

SunOS OMISWX01S 5.9 Generic_118558-11 sun4u sparc SUNW,Sun-Blade-100

We run in the past one script (hid2) which read and modify some Sun
kernel values but was running untill Solaris ver 8.
(for ex :
crw-rw-rw- 1 root sys 72, 0 Sep 12 2005
/devices/pseudo/ksyms@0:ksyms
crw-r----- 1 root sys 13, 1 Sep 12 2005
/devices/pseudo/mm@0:kmem)

Please could you help me ?

Thanks in advance
Best Regards
Ugo Balestrieri
