SunCluster stop res when under construction

hi!

i am looking for a way to force a stop from a resourcegroup in a
suncluster environment.
e.g.:
i am starting a resourcegroup, but the resource is unable to become
online based on a wrong configuration... so the cluster tries it on one
node, switch to the other, switch back and is always waiting for
timeouts... status of the group is "becoming online", but when i try to
stop/offline the group, the framework says that the group is under
construction/reconfiguration...

any ideas?
