Re: URGENT: `date` format output difference between telnet vs. ssh

Hi All,

Thank you for everyone jumping into it & giving me great
suggestions......Anyway, the solution is to edit /etc/default/init file & add
LC_ALL=C, then reboot the server. It'll fix all of the locale settings. Hope
everyone doesn't have to go thru the scenario that I have.

Thanks again,
-Chris

Hi All,

When I run a date cmd on 2 different sessions (telnet & ssh) on solaris
zoning, I get 2 different output formats (see below). Does anyone know why &

how to get my date format output in telnet session to be similar to ssh
session? Any helps/suggestions are appreciated.

Using telnet:
# date

Using ssh:
# date

Wed Jul 2 16:08:33 PDT 2008

TIA,
