NIS passwords

I have one Solaris 8 workstation in a network of Linux machines. All the Linux
machines are working just fine. My Solaris machine responds that it is bound
to my NIS server when I execute ypwhich but regular users cannot log in, only
root. I've searched the archives and I'm pretty sure I've seen this before.
Perhaps I need to use different search parameters. Anyway, I need help.
