Additional Info: %CPU Shows "??"

    Sorry, I made a mistake in my original posting.

    I forgot to mention that "all" processes currently running on the DS20 show the "??" in the %CPU column and the command used was "ps aux" not "ps -ef".

    Hi Managers,

    After experiencing a problem (runaway process) with a custom application running on our DS20e Tru64 5.1a system, the output from the ps -ef command shows the %CPU as a "??". Once the process is killed, the output from the ps -ef command still shows "??".
    The only way to fix this is a reboot.

    Any information on why I cannot see the %CPU value would be appreciated.
