Thank you to the following for their responses :

Dr Blinn, B Ingwersen, M Berger, S Herber, F Hajnik, H Dicko and A Davis

The consensus was the DS10, from the standpoint that it has more memory,
    architectually
    they are similar.

    I have two systems :

                        1. DS10 600Mhz Single CPU with 1 Gb of memory
                        2. DS20 500Mhz Single CPU with 500Mb of Memory.

Which of these systems would offer the better performance when used for
    a oracle database server.

My leaning would be for the DS10, based on more memory and faster CPU,
    but is there other factors
such as the motherboard and overall architecture that would make the
DS20 ( in its current configuration ) a better performer

This is an interim setup until our production DS20's are upgraded.
