UPDATE: problem with vrestore

    I have no solution yet but I had alot of helpful suggestions. Unfortunately
    none of them worked. One of the lines from an 'mt stat' is:
     
            cam_status 0x4 CCB request completed with an err

    Does this indicate some sort of hardware error? It's a tlz09 drive with a
    brand new DDS-2 tape. The fact that none of the suggestions worked combined
    with this message from 'mt stat' leads me to believe I have a hardware
    problem. What's strange is that I don't get any errors with vdump -- only
    with vrestore.
