I got 3 replies very fast many thanks. Iam enclosing the replies from

Peter.We are trying to get a new version of the code from the company
from where we are having the
code.
Tom gave the following answer:

libcda.so was (note that I said "was") part of the Compound Document
Architecture runtime support. It has been retired out of Tru64 UNIX
although I could not tell you whether it was ever part of a V5.x
version; I think not, although it was still present in V4.0G.
You have two choices: (1) install V4.0G on your system instead of
V5.1A and be able to run the program, or (2) get an updated version
of the program that was built on V5.x that doesn't need libcda.so.
If you went and got a copy of libcda.so (and ALL related libraries)
from a V4.0x system, and put them in the right places on your V5.1A
system, you *might* get lucky, but I would not expect that to work
at all.
