First of all thanks a lot to Alan Rollow and Graham Allan,
who both advised me to give DMS a shot. The way I understand
    it, DMS requires a Tru64-Server, doesn't it? That's where
the trouble starts: I wouldn't have a problem with installing
Tru64 from my Eiger, but since that beast is pretty darn loud
and sitting in my living-/bedroom, having it turned on all the
time isn't an option. I have an x86-based system, though,
which does the serving and routing for my home-LAN and which
is on 24/7, so the filesystem for the Multia would find its
    place on the x86.
I was thinking of a setup like this:
/root and swap sit on the Multia's HDD,
/usr gets remotely mounted from the x86 (via NFS).

What would be the best solution for this problem?

    Regards,

    Marc

    Hello, group,

I tried to install Tru64 5.1B onto an old Multia today,
but didn't succeed, since the SCSI-controller behaved
rather flaky. Now I was wondering, if it was possible
    to
    a) Install Tru64 (or parts thereof) onto an NFS-share,
since 340MB of HDD are not quite enough even for a
    minimal installation, and
    b) to set up a RIS-Server with the Hobbyist license?

    Thanks a lot in advance.
    I will summarize.

    Regards,

    Marc
