    Thanks to all.
    Reinstalling.
God, give me back my VMS.
At the end is the output from console.

    Best regards, Bob

Solution from Dr. Thomas P. Blinn:

Won't work. In V4.0x it was relatively easy to "clone" a system disk
even onto a quite different system type. On V5.x, there is a way to
use one system to load the software, but once it's configured it's
pretty strongly tied to the specific system on which it was booted.
And the methods for installing the software and then moving the disk
to a different system are NOT well documented (if they're documented
    at all).

Do a clean install on the DS20E. It's easier.

     From petergergen@kpmg.com.au:
    Hi Bob

boot with genvmunix to get access to all the device drivers and then
    recompile the kernel.

    Regards
    Peter

     From stan.robinson@mci.com:
in general you can't port from one architecture to another, ie, only from
DS20 to DS20,etc. someone may have a quickie way & i'm curious myself:)
    goodluck

    -------
    Original question:
Installed fresh 5.1B on my home PW500au, all patches,
additional sw. Now i'm trying to move this disk to the DS20E.

    Expected that this will work:
boot dkxx -fi /genvmunix -fl s
    then rebuild kernel.
    But it doesn't.
It says something about wrong architecture, then crash.

Is there a way to solve this?
    Some kernel parameters?

    TIA, Bob
