Hi all
I have a DLT 35/70 (TZ89) on a Digital Alpha Server 4100. Now while running
my backup script it bombs out of any random file with the following error
tar: write : I/O error
tar: Tape write error
After that it continues skips the whole block but continues. The next
instance of tar however executes properly. It seems the I/O error occurs
when copying large files (eg Oracle dbf files)
I have tried cleaning the drive using cleaning catridges and using brand new
tapes to no avail
Please help
regards
Tapiwa
