Since I upgraded the system 5.1A to pk4, lpr printing has stopped showing
some problem in conjunction with the output filter. lpc status shows
everthing is started and enabled, but the printjob cannot be processed.

In order to troubleshoot this issue I copied over a working /etc/printcap
file from another machine and modified file permissions according to a
working configuration, but it did not make any difference. I noticed that
there is no sticky bit on lpd0 directory, and also the permissions of files
within the /etc/lpd0 directory are different compared to 5.1 pk5. However,
the problem also remains after deleting /var/spool/lpd0 directory and
/etc/printcap and setting up printing from scratch.

The problem is also with any other output filter, such as HP4000 or
    generic_text.

lpr.debug in /etc/syslog.conf and see the following in lpr.log:

    Any ideas?
