autoloaders and vdump

    Hi Managers,

    Is it possible to use vdump with an autoloader tape backup device? I
    see there are options for not ejecting the tape or rewinding the tape
    after a dump operation so I am guessing that it is possible. Can
    anyone tell me if they are using vdump on with an autoloader and
    what arguments I should look at? I guess a tape listing after each
    backup would also be necessary to determine what data is on what
    tape?

    FYI: I haven't the budget for any third-party backup software.
