    Hi all,

Jan Mark Holzer from HP for answering my question so quickly
and completely that I feel I can quote him in summary.
My preliminary investigations confirm everything he mentions.

Thanks Jan, I´m glad to see HP have competent people subscribed
    to this list.

    Regards
    Michael

you can disable the PowerMgr subsystem by setting the value of
"default_pwrmgr_state" in the "pwrmgr" subsystem to '0'
(you can get more information on individual tunables for pwrmgr
    via the man page "sys_attrs_pwrmgr").

All workstations have pwrmgr enabled by default, the DS10 is not
seen as a workstation (a long story .....) and therefore doesn't
    support pwrmgr.

We usually recommend to remove the option 'kdebug' in security
    sensitive environments.
There's no performance impact by including/removing 'kdebug'.
