vmunix: knb error in messages file

    My customer is getting a LOT of the following messages in the messages file for V4.0f and pk8:

    Nov 18 13:45:20 ker03alpha3 vmunix: knb: Name in conflict (conflict error) - source = 10.244.176.42
    Nov 18 13:45:20 ker03alpha3 vmunix: knb: Name in conflict detected while claiming name <KER03ALPH#BROW 00>

    The address (source) is for a different system then this one (ker03alpha3). I have not seen this before. What does the error mean and how do we fix it?
