    Blair and all,

Once again the list is in agreement, I was trying to map to a partition
already in use, (g) . I added one domain h_domain, will attempt to
    add the rest this morning.
I have another question of course, after using hwmgr to "see" the
additional 5 18 gig drives, I saw nothing, so as the book suggests, I ran

diskscan, then hwmgr -show scsi . Still nothing for the extra drives.

One of the list members asked for the particulars of the system:

    DS20 666 cpu 6 disks 5.3 OS with 6.5 firmware
    E40 8xx cpu 6 " "

My email box isn't by the servers, so replies might take a while.

A very strange thing just happened, when I fired up netscape, surfed to
google, sun, java.sun.com to get the latest java for tru64, as soon as I
went to compaq.com and was redirect to hp, the browser
crashed,,,,,,tried it 4 times and the only site that causes the crash is
hp. Then by chance I opened up a term and typed "whereis java" and the
netscape PID changed to "memory sepment fault" blah blah.
When I write a script to use import, system says it is not there?

Some kind of appeasement needed for the hp gremlins? We are having fun
    now!
