    Morning Mangers,

Well, the last time I contacted the group I was having difficulty with
expanding the file system and trying to understand the disklabel theories
    in Tru64.
One of the main problems turned out to be a defective adaptec card, and
with the help of HP phone support, a new one is installed and the drives
    are
(as well as myself) happy. Oracle is installed and operating for Forms
development, a web server/ Jserver, security etc. Installing the RPM
and associated OSSCv51b as a download was an experience to be remembered.

While trying to get Kdevelop installed, the ./configure will break at the
    end of the
script looking for zlib, which I have configured, make and make install
'ed , put in the $PATH, and in the directory of /usr/local/bin and even
    in
Kdevelop's directory to no avail. Did a ./configure --DIR= blah too.
                                  *(&(*&)( **%$#

On one Alpha I have a 4mm 20G internal tape that works fine, but on an E40

I have an external Compaq DLT 40/80 which is not recognized at any of the
    listings under /dev/tape or /dev/ntape . I did get a message
stating " dev get ioctl not found " .
Did a mt -f /dev/tape/tape0_d0 status #returned not found for
all devices listed under tape & ntape.
Is their a reset -r type command in Tru64 for re-acquiring scsi devices?
Or st.conf or similiar config file?

Once again thanks to all for the help.
