    Hello Admins,

    My system:
    ES40 (2x667MHz CPU, 6 GB RAM) Tru64Unix 5.1 PK4

We are on the road to migrate oracle from 7.3.4 to 9.2
    Oracle requested to do the following patch upgrades ;

    ................................Start Note....................
5.1 patchkit 5 or greater is required. You must edit the following parameter
    in the /etc/sysconfigtab:
    vm: new_wire_method = 0
    vfs: fifo_do_adaptive = 0
The following O/S patches are also required:
    1. T64V51B19-C0125001-14319-E-20020516.tar (C1250.01 PatchId) -- DECthreads
    V3.18-138A fix
    2. T64V51B19-C0151600-15736-E-20021017.tar (C1516.00 PatchId) - Fix for
    directIO data inconsistencies.
    They are available at:
    http://ftp1.support.compaq.com/public/unix/v5.1/earlyreleasepatches/oracle/
    .....................End Note.........................

Because pathckit 6 exists, I decided to directly go to PK6..

After PK6 installation has been successfully done, I hesitated to apply
other two individual patches. But Oracle person insisted on them..

    for (C1250.01 PatchId) -- DECthreads V3.18-138A fix
I have found the following note in the patch doc
    >>>The patches in this ERP kit will also be available in the next mainstream
    patch kit - Tru64 UNIX 5.1 Patch Kit 6.<<<

But in PK6 doc, I have never seen info about this patch..

when we try to apply these 2 patches, I have get the following problems..

    **********************Start Note***************************************

    Problem installing:

     - Tru64_UNIX_V5.1 / Filesystem Patches:
            Patch C 01516.00 - Fix directIO data inconsistencies (C1252.00 +
    C1380.0

requires the existence of the following un-installed/un-selected subset(s):

     - Tru64_UNIX_V5.1:
            Patch 00921.01

This patch will not be installed.

    Problem installing:

     - Tru64_UNIX_V5.1 / Threads Patches:
            Patch C 01250.01 - DECthreads V3.18-138A
            ./shlib/libpthread.so:
                    is installed by:

     - Tru64_UNIX_V5.1:
            Patch 01163.00

and can not be replaced by this patch.

            ./usr/shlib/libpthreaddebug.so:
                    is installed by:

     - Tru64_UNIX_V5.1:
            Patch 01163.00

and can not be replaced by this patch.

This patch will not be installed.

    *************************End Note**********************

So What should I do ?
Are these patches come with PK6 ..?
