Hi,
I am preparing to install ERP's on Tru64 5.1B boxen, no clusters, with
patch kit 3 installed. Previously, as in when I installed patch kit 3, I
was able to run a non-interactive dupatch with:
./dupatch -install -kit . -name "Joe Senulis" -note "kit 3" -noauto \
-product all -patch all
(I do the kernel rebuild as a separate step and I previously did the
pre-check interactively at which time the dupatch version was updated to
44-01.) However, when I try to pre-check or install, for example, the
sendmail ERP, t64kit0020437-v51bb24-es-20031023.tar:
./dupatch -install -kit . -precheck_only -patch all
Tru64_UNIX_V5.1B Patch "ALL" is not available on the specified patch kit.
Running dupatch with "-patch c331.01" does work.
So, the question is, did something change with dupatch on Kit 3? We
have used this method without problem for ERP's with 5.1B Kit 2 and for some
time with 5.1. Is there a better way to do this or will there be a fix? I
didn't want to have to specify individual patches when installing ERP's.
Thanks.
