I have several 1000A servers, one of which has previously been
upgraded to Tru64 5.1A. I succesfully upgraded another to 5.1B.
However, the final 2 servers I have upgraded now exhibit a strange
problem with the console. All the servers are using a serial
connection. The last 2 servers start outputing to the terminal
connected to comm port 1, but stop part way through and can't login on
the console. The systems do boot fully and I can telnet into them. It
appears that when the output to comm port 1 stops, the remaining
output is to comm port 2. Also, I can log in on the console with comm
port 2. Any ideas?
The 5.1B servers have all had patch kit 2 applied.
