SAN Switch port stuck in In_Sync state

    I have been loaned a DS-DSGGB-AA Compaq 8 port 1 gig switch and a HSG80
    running ACS firmware v8.5f to do some testing with and the ports that I
    connect the HSG80 and DS20L to stay in the In_Sync state and never come out.

    The firmware on the switch is at v2.6.0h.

    Has anyone seen anything like this before? I have set the KGPSA to fabric as
    well as the topology on the HSG80 to fabric.

    I noticed that there is a v2.2 license on the switch. Does this have to go
    to a v2.6 license? I read the release notes for v2.4 that I found on the web
    and it said that v2.4 will work with a v2.2 license. I didn't find anything
    about this in the v2.6 release notes.
