    Back ground
    I have a DS40 with 6 Hdd's running Tru64 V5.1a. This runs a Hospital Patient
administration package with approx 300 concurrent users.

The problem is that the raid controller went down, we rebuilt the raid to a
point and are running on 2 good mirrors and a broken mirror.

The question is : Should we stay with 3 mirrored pairs of disks and then
striped, or should we go to all 6 disks raid 5? Are there any perceivable
    performance or other issues?

    Thanks in advance
