At the time of writing I was downloading and analysing the
    binary.errlog.
    The following shows up:

    1. The cache battery needs to be changed. ( I inherited the box, not
    me....)
    2. KGPSA errors (extract):
    Entry_Type 1,197........

    Subroutine_Name emx_cam_sio_done
    Driver_Error_Message IO Status: FCP cmd 0x99 - 0x3(Local Reject) :
    0x16(Abort Requested)

Useful suggestions included a tool new to me: emxmgr
Most people are telling my I need access to the SAN to fully diagnose
the issue, which I already knew, but it was worth a try eh!

I will get the battery changed and check the switch for errors. I'll
summarise if I find anything else. The upside is that there seems to be
    no ill effects so far.

    Thanks for the replies:
    Dr Thomas Blinn
    Bob Collins
    Raul Sossa Sossa.

    Thanks,
    Alan

    Managers,

I have seen an issue on a 5.1a PK6 machine and I'm wondering what else I
can do to diagnose the issue. They are connected to a HSG80 controller
    pair.

Any ides on how to diagnose an issue from the OS side? I have no access
at the moment to the SAN.

Hwmgr shows no errors on the hard drives, is there a utility such as
    lputil for Intel boxes.

    Alan
