Need help getting banners to display using Exceed.

    Hello Managers,

     

    I have several Tru64 servers running 5.1x, and have the login banners working great for telnet, ftp, rsh, etc… I have the banners in /etc/issue, /etc/issue.net and am also running tcp wrappers with banners. These all work fine.

    My problem is that here we use Exceed V6.1.0.16 to connect using the start method of RSH(TCP/IP), and Program Type is X Window. The command we are using is:

     

    @(CDE Terminal,method=stdappdb) –display @d –bg black –fg white –geometry 132X50 –name `hostname` -fn t10 –sl 20x –vb;

     

    When connecting using Exceed, the login banners are not being displayed.

     

    Does anyone know if this is an X11 config problem, or an Exceed config problem.

     

    Any ideas and help is appreciated.
