UPDATE: Problem with network speed

    I've had a couple of suggestions, which I cannot try out until the
    weekend because I cannot take the system down until then.

    1) In /etc/inet.local, add the line lan_config -i tu0 -s100 -x1 -a1 -m utp

    2) restart the machine into the boot prompt and look for
    >>> sh ew*
    and set it to full duplex/100MPS by using
    >>> set ew(x)_mode

    Thank you to everyone who replied....there's far too many of you to
    name personally!

    I'll post next week and let you know whether these suggestions worked!
