    Ha all.

I have a problem. We have a bunch of old AS-4100 servers running Digital
UNIX 4.0D with a lot of users, Oracle,...

    We also have a new, hot-reserve, machine DS-25 running Tru64 5.1B-1.

I'm trying to "resurect" one of our old servers on the new one. We got
Oracle to run and all, but user migration is being a pain in the ass.

From what I remember, when we migrated 3.2G to 4.0D, I followed the
    same procedure here.

    1. copy /etc/passwd /etc/group
    2. run "mkpasswd"
    3. export user profiles on 4.0D to /tcb/files/auth/?/ (convauth -O -dp)
    4. transfer the files to 5.1B
    5. import user profiles (convauth -dp)
    6. vdump/vrestore user home dirs and Oracle files

Step 5 is bombing out on me. It creates an emty file /tcb/files/auth.db
and /var/tcb/files/auth.db. I've even tried truss-ing the bloody thing.
It opens the directory /tcb/files/auth/ but goes no further.

    Any ideas?

    Nix.
