I'm hoping someone on the list can help with this. Back in the
4.x days, we (a university) were able to order a CD with the source code
for the operating system. In order to do that, we had to get liceses from
AT&T, SCO, etc as well as DEC/Compaq/etc. Once we had the complete set of
licenses, we were allowed to order a source CD as often as we wanted
(there was no update service however, you had to buy a new CD each time
the OS was updated). I've been trying to get a hold of this for the
current release, but no one so far will even admit it was ever possible to
get the source CDs that I have now. I've talked to my sales contacts and
have not gotten anywhere.
Does anyone know the new procedure or who to talk to (perhaps at a
higher level)? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Tom
