    Good morning all,

We are having a problem with our Tru64 boxes where after a variable
period of time DNS resolution just stops working.

We have 3 servers all running Tru64 5.1B pk4 and all are affected at
random intervals. It does appear to be usage related as our primary
production server has this issue more often, though this may be
    conincedental.

Symptoms are: name resolution stops working via the network. I can
still lookup names that are in the hosts file with no problems.

The only way to fix the problem I've found so far is to reboot the
    machine.

Using "rcinet restart" or dropping and lowering the bcm interfaces does
    not resolve the problem.

All 3 servers use the same non local DNS servers that are verified
    working.

The servers fail at different times independant of each other.

Any ideas or suggestions would be most appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Dave
