Hi -- I have a twin DS20E 5.1 cluster with a cluster alias name of 'pack'
Each server has 2 NICs , one of 100MB and 1 Gigabit.
For some reason the primary NIC is the slowest 100MB card ( to keep users happy but not too excited I suppose).
Our backup server also uses this but when I try to use the fast NIC the backup software (Legato) is told that
the default ownership for the directory ( say /usr ) is owned by pack and not 'oraserv1' the alias for the fast card , and will
    use the slower connection.
We are thinking of switching IP addresses for the cards so that everyone will use the Gigabit, without actually
changing the aliases. I imagine this would be a simple network config exercise in sysman ( slight outage involved ).
Does anybody have any recommendations or suggestions? Thanks

    Steven Frost
