DEC C++ shared libraries missing?

Hello Admin Wizards,
currently I try to install the swxcrmgr utility on a tru64 4.0f system
to manage the two MYLEX DAC 960 - COntrollers inside.
The installation however ends up complaining that it is unable to find
the DEC C++ shared libraries - I admit I did not include this software
option when setting up the system.
Is it possible to install them separately? I would rather not have to
repeat the whole setup procedure...
I already browsed through the distribution cd and could not identify the
necessary sources.
Would be grateful for a hint.
