Hi. Sorry if this question is *slightly* off topic. One of our development
    machines (alphaserver ES40) is running Tru64 5.1b, patchkit 5.

I just finished installing gcc 3.4.3, and also xerces-c-2_7_0. Everything
went just fine, no errors messages or anything. When I try to run the
sample Xerces applications, they fail with a memory fault and coredump
    inside the library functions.

One of the developers wanted me to send this message to just ask if anyone
is successfully using Xerces on Tru64. He also wanted to ask what Dec Alpha
users are using for their DOM or XML work. Is xerces common, or is there
    something better?

I'm not really looking for help in debugging Xerces, just really wanted to
know if it is what is generally used on a Tru64 system.

    Thanks for any input.
