Tru64 Managers,
I'm having some bizarre crashes on our ES40 Tru64 4.0f machine. I'd
previously assumed that the main problem was a GIS application we run on
it that was filling the PID table with enormous amounts of defunct
processes, thus halting the machine, but after cronning a simple script
to kill defunct processes' parents before they get out of control, and
raising the pid limit, I'm receiving crashes that come out of nowhere.
I suspect bad memory, but I was hoping someone could shed some insight
on the stack traces I have, maybe come up with something I've missed?
the crash log is attached. Thank you for your time.
