    Dear all,

We recently acquired a brand new AS DS25, with 2 power supplies (for
    redundancy reasons, we thought !).
However we are now told that this machine needs both PS's in its
'basic' (i.e. non-redundant) configuration. There is a possibility to
install a 3rd PS, but this can only solve the problem of a failing PS
(one of the other 2 then).
What we typically want to do is hook up 1 PS to the standard power-net,
and another PS to a UPS-protected net, allowing us more redundancy AND
the possibility to dynamically shut off 1 of both power-nets without
    shutting down the machine...
However this last scenario doesnt seem to be possible in this DS25.

Strangely enough, we have a 7 year old DS25 that DOES this, i.e. it has
2 PS, that can be connected to 2 different power-nets...

Can anybody confirm these findings, and suggest any solutions ???

    Marc
