advfs error

    Hallo

    we have Alphapc 164LX 666Mhz with tru64 unix 4.0f operating system.
    it gives an Advfs error on /dev/rz8g

       AdvFS I / 0 error
       volume /dev/rz8g
       Tag: 0xfffffffa.0000
       page: 288
       Type of operation: read
       Error: 5

    please give me some idea how to overcome this error.
