SUMMARY: Fresh install question ( reversion to 5.1)

    Thanks to Jeffrey Hummel, Dr Thomas Blinn ,Ian Barker and Bobby Mackun

    Setting bootdef_dev to null fixed the problem ( consvar -s bootdef_dev = "" )
    This avoided the installer from reading the old device database
    I have booted to 5.1 OK
