Dear Managers!
Apologies if this enquiry is too off-topic.
I am managing a GS1280 with 8 EV7 CPUs. The machine runs Firmware 6.6-14,
Palcode 2.8-14 and Tru64 Unix V5.1B-3 (aka PK5). The machine has been quite
stable for the past two years.
I wonder if I should update the firmware to V7.0? Is it worth the trouble and
the risk (I have never updated Alpha firmware before)?
I have not installed NHD7, as I am booting from a SmartArray 5300A; in that
case, NHD7 can only be installed during a full OS installation. I don't know
if this has any relevance to firmware installtion.
Thanks in advance for any advice!
Hans
