root crontab problem

I had an incident where root's crontab got corrupted,
so I restored the root file from a backtp tape to the
/var/cluster/members/member0/spool/cron/crontabs
directory. Perms are 400, owner is root, group is system.
Now, the only thing that gets executed is the very last
line in the crontab - other scripts that worked fine
before no longer execute at all. I am missing something
here, but I don't know what. Other users' crontabs are
functioning normally. Any ideas?
