How to replace a JBOD in a RA200

Hi all,
I was wondering what the procedure is for replacing a JBOD connected to
a RA200 RAID controller. HP have indicated that they have to delete all
logical drives defined after and including the JBOD and then recreate
the JBOD after replacing the disk. This sounds very significant just to
replace a disk.
I have heard from another source that you just power down the
controller, replace the drive and then restart the controller. Being a
JBOD, the controller does not initialise it or anything.
Can anyone with experience with this shed some light on the real
procedure?
Thanks,
Mark
