How can I determine the Java version that we're running?

Subject: Tru64 Java DST patch
Tru64 v5.1b-2
Java v1.4.2-2
When I run the verification tests on this update (downloaded from
http://h18012.www1.hp.com/java/alpha/DST-US.html) I receive many errors.
I have looked, and the files exist in /usr/opt/java142/jre/lib/zi for
the "test failed" lines. The "time zone not found" errors are correct -
those files are not there.
Any ideas?
Thank you,
