On my all mighty microvax II, I STOP/QUEUE all the queues except the one where
the backup runs. The initial reason was to prevent the various recurring
maintenance/check jobs from running during the backup (not wanting those jobs
to steal memory and CPU from backup). But in hindsight, it may have also
helped prevent corruption of the queue files.
