Simon,

I am certainly open to suggestions, but like a number of others on the
newsgroup, email is my preferred method of accessing the list (using
rules etc).

While this may change in the future, I am currently stuck with sending
"plain text" emails via my Outback client.

I believe that was exactly JF's point. The way that you respond to posts
means that when _your_ posts are responded to, it becomes very difficult
to follow who is saying what.

Not only are you posting at the top of the article, but much worse, you
are not using a quote character on the original text, instead including
it as is at the bottom of your response.

Can you seek advice from someone within HP and get access to a NNTP feed
?

Here's a _good natured_ prompt for you:

Andrew Harrison's software is capable of following newsgroup
conventions. Are you going to let him claim that he can do something
that you cannot ? :-)

That's why you may want to switch to an NNTP feed, with appropriate
software, or see if Outlook can be configured to follow newsgroup
conventions.

Simon.
