MMS appears designed to handle multitasking -- a dependency table is built
at the beginning and all work is done in subprocesses. But apparantly it
only does one thing at a time. I am currently using it on a 4-CPU machine.
If I edit an include file and invoke MMS, the sources are recompiled one
at a time. If it did 4 at a time, and the file caching worked well, my
builds would be 4 times as fast.
Any chance a future version of MMS or MMK will be smart enough to do this?
(Or a secret feature already there?)
