When I drive in to work, I notice bigger and bigger houses being built with
3 garage doors being the norm.

I notice people (usually one) driving in bigger and bigger vehicles.

I notice people attracted to eateries that server bigger and bigger meals.

I notice reading lately that kids are getting bigger and bigger sitting in
front of the tube and playing with their PS/2s, etc.

We are becoming (if not already) in the eyes of many, a nation of excess.

Is this the fate of this nation? Many jobs, not just IT, leaving and not
coming back. Does capatilisum utimately and ineveitably end this way? What
course corrections must we take to avoid this pending fall?

The above comments and questions are easy. I suspect the _correct_ answers
are not.
