Hi,
An AlphaServer DS20E is running Advanced Server V7.3A for OpenVMS on OpenVMS
Alpha V7.3. Advanced Server is the domain controller. Here's a list of the
services it's running:
Services on server "LICKER":
Service Status
--------------- ---------------
BROWSER Started
EVENTLOG Started
NETLOGON Started
SERVER Started
TIMESOURCE Started
Total of 5 services
The ALERTER service isn't running (which is deliberate). So why does a
local Win2000 server display this message from time to time:
Message from LICKER to ADMINISTRATOR on <date> <time>
There were 5 access-denied errors in the last 1450 minutes.
Please review the server's audit trail.
How do I stop Advanced Server from broadcasting such messages?
Thanks,
Jeremy Begg
