Just out of curiosity, _IS_ this for an assignment at school?
If so, asking on a newsgroup was a good idea. I wish I could have had
a resource like the Internet when I was in school. Again, I think you
would have done better on a C programming newsgroup rather than here.
(or did you ask there, too?)
Because you did not get it out of a book does not make it less valid.
