        My thoughts exactly. I've been involved with VMS since the beginning (our
first system
arrived with V1.? but was installed with V2) and security and reliability
have steadily improved through later (bigger and badder - "bad"'s a good
thing ;-) versions. Major releases sometimes stumbled but VMS engineering
has always remedied any initial problems very quickly and they typically
were simple errors in execution - not the basic design flaws that have
plagued many major and popular software systems. It helps if you start with
security as job 1.
