If it were me (glad it's not), I'd do the upgrade on the DS10 and then
either swap the disk or take a post-upgrade image and restore to the 15.

But your way could easily be tested. Cut an on-line image from the 10, and
try it ahead of time on the 15, off the network. If it doesn't go, I'd
expect it to be fairly obvious on first boot.
