I had a number of problem:
Improper calibration of the A/C - it was 8 degrees off; meaning that it read
80 and it was actually 88.
A/C kick in was set to 80 and it should have been set to 74.
The failure of A/C units that provided cooling for the work areas surrounding
the datacenter. The air surrounding the datacenter heated the datacenter and
the datacenter A/C units could not maintain a proper environment.
In addition the server racks are perpendicular to the air flow - and the server
racks are 20" from the back wall. So improper air-flow! In a major way.
Since the ES40 is a front-back air-flow we put a lower in front of the cabinet
and got a few degrees down. However when we placed the blower in the rear of
the cabinet to cycle the heated (stagnant) air away from the cabinet the
temperature went down even further.
Since we have repaired the A/C problems mentioned above we are now a bit more
happy with the following temperature ranges:
SENSOR_0 = 78.80
SENSOR_1 = 78.80
SENSOR_2 = 80.60
SENSOR_3 = 69.80
SENSOR_4 = 75.20
SENSOR_5 = 69.80
SENSOR_6 = 71.60
